Yes, Patanjali Dant Kanti Toothpaste too Contains Fluoride
Almost all the toothpastes in the market contains Fluroide. Fluoride in toothpaste can prevent cavities. Also, it helps remove plaque, a film of bacteria that forms on teeth and gums every day.
In Patanjali Dant Kanti toothpaste available Fluoride content is 924 PPM approx.
Toothpaste with fluoride, is not recommended to infants and children because they may gulp or eat the large amount of toothpaste and this may cause some health issues.
So, it is always advisable to keep an eye on the children while they brushing the teeth and keep the toothpaste locked up and out of the reach of children.
It is already mentioned on the Patanjali Dant Kanti tube “Children below 7 years use as advised by physician/dentist” plus “Not to be swallowed”
My experience with Patanjali Dant Kanti Toothpaste
I purchased the Patanjali Dant Kanti dental cream from the departmental store in my locality. It keeps all Patanjali products along with grocery products from other brands.
The first time when I squeezed the Dant Kanti tube to put the paste on my brush, I just surprised as I have never seen brown toothpaste before.
Yes, Patanjali Dant Kanti toothpaste is Brown in Color. Therefore, the foam appears whitish brown after brushing.
I am using this paste twice a day. It gives more of the Clove (Laung) smell and taste than the other ingredients in the toothpaste. All over I like the fragrance and the flavour.
In cleansing I found it similar to other toothpastes, but it feels more refreshing as the taste of Clove (Laung) and blend of other herbs remains in the mouth for 3 to 4 hrs. Thus giving a cool fresh breath.
But I can’t say whether this toothpaste will be helpful or not in other dental problems as mentioned in the toothpaste. As I don’t have any such experience. May be other benefits will be experienced if I use the Dant Kanti toothpaste in the long run.
So, initially I can say, Patanjali Dant Kanti toothpaste is useful for cleaning the teeth and for refreshing breath. As it is an Ayurvedic composition so there is no harm in using it.
Benefits of Patanjali Dant Kanti Toothpaste
- Ayurvedic product, contains lot of natural extracts
- Easily Available
- Affordable price
- Good taste and smell
- Gives refreshing feel
- Comes in good quantity, 100 gm lasts long even on using it twice daily.
- Round cap, which make it stand easily on the shelf or in the wash basin area.
- Travel friendly
Limitations of Patanjali Dant Kanti Toothpaste
- The brown color of the paste might not be liked by most of them.
- Not suitable for those who don’t like clove and other spices.
- Strong effect of clove and other herbs, thus not appropriate for infants and young children.
- Need time to get used to the taste.
Final Words
I am satisfied with Baba Ramdev, Patanjali Dant Kanti Toothpaste as it is no less than the toothpastes I am using from childhood. Plus, it is Ayurvedic and provides fresh and cool sensation for long time.
I would certainly recommend everyone to try Dant Kanti dental cream once and then use it regularly once liked it.
Don’t swallow it. ☺

Hi, want to know is patanjali dant kanti toothpaste contains sodium lauryl sulfate? I heard it is a chemical used in toothpastes.
Hi Vivek, I checked the information written in the Patanjali Dant Kanti toothpaste and sodium lauryl sulfate is not mentioned. On this basis I can say sodium lauryl sulfate is not present in the Dant Kanti toothpaste. Further, you can inquire at the Patanjali centre.
Of course. Each n every paste has sodium lauryl sulfate.. without that your foam in mouth wont form…
Hi Revanth, Thank you for the comments.
That’s not true. Not ALL kinds of toothpaste have SLS.
You don’t need SLS to be effective! A foaming agent is just that-a foaming agent, not important or needed. It also has toxic effects long term-google it!
It is a salt – yes salts are chemicals too. The concentration of chemicals is high which is why the tube has a black line as an indicator. But that does not mean it is bad. A number of people who have used it have liked it. Even Vicco Vajradanti has a black line but Dabur Red has a green one indicating all natural ingredients.
I didn’t see any black line. can u plz mention where it is shown?
It is having fluoride they say, but none of ingredients they mentioned has fluoride
My son age is 10 years. Is patanjali dant kanti paste will be ok for him as he have pain in few teeth.
Hi Gauri, Patanjali Dant Kanti toothpaste is an herbal composition so you can give it a try. I would advise to start with the little toothpaste, and if your son likes the smell and the taste then you can continue. Keep an eye on him while brushing, also guide him not to swallow the toothpaste. Regarding, curing the pain I can’t say Dant Kanti will help or not. Do share with us how it works for your son!
Hi, I highly recommend going to a dentist. Patanjali is not a proven toothpaste to cure all dental problems. Use what the dentist recommends. Make him brush twice daily, Restrict sweets and sticky carbs, floss and mouthwash once atleast.

Hi Swarnna, It is not mentioned on the pack that it is effective for the tooth cavity.
Can I give Dant Kanti Junior (For children) to my 2.5 yr old son. As kids sometime don’t follow “Don’t swallow it” instruction. If not this then what will be safe for him as tooth paste or cream.
Hi Suman, It is already mentioned on the Patanjali Dant Kanti tube “Children below 7 years use as advised by physician/dentist” plus “Not to be swallowed”. So, I will not recommend it for your son. Further, you can consult at any patanjali center.

Hi deepanshi, Thank you for sharing your experience of Patanjali Dant Kanti toothpaste with us.
Hi,
I am using Dan Kanti toothpaste regularly since about 9 months now. I LOVE it. I had gingivitis and bleeding gums, for which I was seeing a dentist and spending lots of money (not to mention the pain, as well as the time that I could well have spent watching a nice movie instead of in a dentist chair!). The bleeding stopped in about a month (and I have not gone back for my follow up appointments for the complains – I will go for my annual check-up). I had tooth ache also in a few teeth, wherein the x rays showed nothing. That too has gone.
I am not saying that it replaces a dentist, but once you know that there is nothing very sinister going on with your teeth and gums, you can use this as a protection. Get yourself screened for cavities and such where active medical attention is needed.
To me, DanKanti is my dental insurance!
Hi Roma, Thank you for sharing Patanjali Dant Kanti feedback with us.
Hi
One of my friend told me that patanjali dant kanti contains lot of tobacco , whenever you pour acid on it , it got lot of bubbles ..
Is it really patanjali dant kanti contains tobacco ?
Hi Aanya, I don’t think Patanjali dant kanti toothpaste contains tobacco. As per the Patanjali it is a herbal product. Here you can see the ingredients mention in the product http://reviewsimpact.com/patanjali-dant-kanti-toothpaste-review#ingredients

Contains SLS
Contains Silica

Hi Joe, Thanks for sharing this information with us!
It has Sodium Benzoate, but not the others.
First of all change your toothbrush. And seek a dentist’s advice.
Most of toothpaste contain fluoride which can cause cancer,DNA damage or other diseases so I will suggest here everyone to use forever bright tooth gel.
they said fluoride is not good for health, then why should they used in Patanjali paste, It affecting the tooth enamel.so don’t use this paste

Very good review. In trying this toothpaste, it does in fact clean the teeth beautifully – better than most toothpastes available on the market today. The only serious concern I have is that Dant Kanti has a hint of a gasoline taste.
If i add all contains. Can I prepare same product as Dant Kranti? for home purpose only?
This tooth paste is very denger for teeth i m using this from two months and now my teeth gets crack . So i request to patangali team to bann it from market. It gives adverse effects on teeth and sensitive
